Riordan, Rick. (2010). The Lost Hero. New York: Hyperion Books. (557pp.). One day you wake up on a school bus, you don't remember a thing, and you have know idea who you are. Thats what happened to Jason. He was on his way to a school field trip to a museum having no idea where he was going or what he was doing there. Whats happening to Jason is he is doing a school project when he is suppenly attacked by wind spirits. He flips a coin in his packet and weilds a golden sword. He and his supposed friends are helping him fight them. Their teacher then turns into a faun and gets ca[tured by the spirits. Then a chariot comes and drives them to a camp called camp halfblood. Their the children find out they are demigods. Demigods are half people half god. Jason is the son of Zues. The storys conflict is he needs to get his memory back. I really liked the book because he was so interesting that I couldn't stop reading it. I recomenned this book to people who like the Percy Jackson series. The series Heroes of Olympus is a continuation of the Percy Jackson series.
Interesting discussion on what it is to be human, interpersonal relationships on how far a parent will go for a child, and medical technology in the future."
