I can see how this book (and McCarthy's works in general) would be an acquired taste, but I thoroughly loved it. A bleak, post-apocalyptic journey of a father and son. Really, though, it's about being a parent, the meaning of life, religion, and humanity. Highly, highly recommended. Edited to add: Just as compelling and searing the second time around. Wow.
