I just really like this series. Ophelia is finally getting used to her talents and is happy using them. I loved the dream part of this book, where she relives a past life. Also she gets to know what happened to everyone involved with the dream. I can't wait until the new one comes out.
I finally got around to reading this book. It has been on my shelf for quite a long time! If I Stay was a good book and I really enjoyed reading it. I read it in one day because the words were rather large and it flowed really well. Even though this is a book about a girl that ends up in a coma after getting in a car accident with her family, I didn't think it was too deep. Don't take that the wrong way...I liked the book a lot but I thought for a story that was about something traumatic like that that it would be wraught with emotion....actually, when the accident happened it was detailed and intense but afterwards it kind of calmed down. This story is told from Mia's point of view-since she is in a coma it is like she is having an out of body experience. The story alternates between what is going on in the present at the hospital and then to things in the past. When Mia retells things in the past they are based upon who is visiting her in the hospital at the moment, or who she is talking about in the present. The characters were well written, but I didn't care for Mia and Adams relationship. Mia is only a senior in HS and Adam is a year older, but their relationship, I thought, is too advanced, too grown up. Besides for Mia and her friends and family dealing with the tragedy, Mia needs to make a huge decision. Even though she is in a come, she still has to make that decision on her own. The end of the book is a huge cliff hanger because you have no idea what Mia decides. Good thing the next book comes out soon so I can find out!
