I was ready to read an indulgent book and I got one. Juliet is an unlikely adventure to Siena, Italy where the main character learns the story that inspired Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. The story line (not revealing here so as not to spoil your fun), if you really think about it, is a bit silly but because it was cleverly crafted and grounded in historical fact with no loose ends it worked. Plus, I was ready for silly too. The Author, in the Author's Notes explains the parts of the story that were based on real events/historical likelihoods and where should took creative license which is nice. If you're looking for a break from really heavy topics but don't want to dive deep into the chick lit genre to do, this is a good read.
